Dealer Social Privacy Notice
How account and appointment information is used in Dealer Social.
Information we collect
Dealer Social stores information you provide when creating or maintaining an account, including your name, contact information, home dealership, profile information, messages, posts, and appointment activity.
Dealership and CRM use
Your selected dealership can use your account and appointment information to communicate with you and provide sales or service follow-up.
Retention
Customer account and appointment records may be retained for dealership business records, customer follow-up, security, and continuity. Some records may be retained longer when required by law or legitimate business requirements.
Security and access
Dealer Social limits application access by account role and dealership. Passwords are protected using secure hashing and are not stored in readable form. Infrastructure and backups must also be protected by the hosting provider's access controls and encryption settings.
Cookies and browser storage
We use an essential session cookie to keep you signed in for up to 30 days. App browser storage also supports notification preferences, cached app resources and shared-content drafts. These features are separate from optional analytics.
If you select Accept analytics, DealerSocial sets a first-party random browser identifier to measure use of the News Feed, Team, Messages and Offers, appointment scheduling steps, and offer views, clicks and shares. We may associate a booking with the last offer clicked in the same browser and dealership within seven days. This association does not prove the offer caused the booking.
Analytics store event types, dealership and offer identifiers, timestamps, a random browser identifier and an appointment reference for successful bookings. They do not store your name, email address, message contents, appointment notes or browsing activity on other websites. Hosting security logs are separate from these analytics.
Your cookie preference and optional analytics identifier last up to 180 days; event records are retained for up to 90 days. Analytics stay off until you accept. Use Cookie Settings at any time to change your choice. Rejecting analytics immediately stops collection. When connected, DealerSocial deletes this browser’s analytics identifier and recorded events; failed cleanup requests are remembered and retried automatically. Sign-in and appointment booking are unaffected. Account signup counts are calculated separately from business records regardless of analytics consent. Authorized administrators can view aggregate reports for their permitted stores; the platform administrator can view all stores.
Your choices
You can review and update your profile information in Dealer Social. Closing an account disables access and removes selected contact/profile fields from the active account, while historical business records may be retained where required for record continuity.
This notice describes the current Dealer Social application behavior. Dealership-specific legal notices or additional disclosures may also apply.
